The second-largest operation at Steel Dynamics, our structural and rail facility offers structural products well-suited for numerous construction applications, including buildings, bridges, and skyscrapers and railway products in response to customers' needs.
In Pittsboro, we produce the highest-grade carbon and alloy engineered bar products in the country. Our quality steel bar is ideal for engine parts, suspension systems, bulldozer tracks, oil-drilling equipment, home-appliance components, hand tools and munitions casings.
Founded in 1955, our state-of-the art mini mill melts scrap steel in electric furnaces to be cast into bar and billets and rolled into merchant products consisting of angles, plain rounds, flats and channels for service centers, fabricators and equipment manufacturers.
Founded in 1907, our Steel of West Virginia facility has grown into a reputable manufacturer of specialty high-quality, hot-rolled carbon-steel long products used in a variety of end markets, including construction, heavy equipment, manufacturing and energy.
Incorporated in 1978, our Vulcan facility is now the nation's largest domestic manufacturer and supplier of threaded rod and bar products serving North America as well as a wide range of cold-drawn and premium heat-treated threaded rods and bars.
